Portraits

2020

I have never liked portraits.

These images come from my desire to create a formulaic approach to portraiture, using photography as a descriptive tool rather than an artistic one. The repetitive deadpan structure of the images turns them into a ‘spot the difference’-esque game, freeing us of the burden of composition, and allowing us to freely and openly look.
